Lucas Papaw Ointment

Ok so I said I was going to write about another product that I do swear by, although I still havent finished my workbook for my exams lol I’d like to share my go-to ointment I have been using for over 10 years now.

So far these are whats left of the batch I last bought in Sydney, Australia when we went for a holiday in November 2015. Imagine how much Papaw I bought! πŸ˜‰

I first saw this red tube in 2008, back when I was flying with Emirates. I saw a crew who has this at the briefing room. Then another one when I went to the washroom. So I asked what it was and there it was, I was introduced to Lucas Papaw Ointment from Australia.

Since I was new to traveling a lot and also in freezing cold places, I got windburns all the time, including from the cold and dry aircraft environment. So when I went to Sydney for the first time on a layover (by the way, I was part of the inaugural crew who operated on the Emirates A380 to Sydney at that time, such a great memory hehe), I bought a couple of Lucas Papaw Ointment tubes at 4 AUD a tube. My windburn problems immediately went away the moment I applied it and been using it ever since.

What is it good for?

On the tube it says it has a anti-bacterial and antimicrobial properties and can be used as a local topical application for the following:

  • Minor Burns, Sunburn & Scalds
  • Gravel Rash, Cuts & Minor Open Wounds
  • Nappy Rash & Chaffing
  • Splinters & Thorns
  • Temporary relief of the symptoms of dermatitis and eczema

To be honest I think its good for everything as I have been using it as a lip balm, moisturizer for my nails and insect bites.. or anything itchy like a rash.

So there you have it, Lucas Papaw Ointment which you can now purchase everywhere, unlike the old times thats why I buy them in bulk, so you folks are lucky! Definitely a must-have on your purse! I actually dont know how many Papaw tubes I have around the house and I keep finding them on my bags as well.. πŸ’πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
